With such luminary endorsers as Jimmy Page, Stevie Wonder, and Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, Orange Amps played an important role in early rock history. They have since added an incredible worldwide artist roster with such artists as Geddy Lee, Nick Johnston, Billy Gibbons, members of Mastodon and Slipknot, and the talented Orianthi to name just a few.

The history of Orange Amps is tied to the British Invasion, a cultural phenomenon that began in the mid-1960s. As British bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and Cream tore through the North American zeitgeist, Canadian artists emerged through inspiration tied to the Commonwealth.
Bands like Little Caesar and the Consuls, Richie Knight and the Mid-Knights, and Jon and Lee & the Checkmates, started to make a name for themselves north of the border. In addition, influential rock clubs opened in Toronto during the 1960s. Venues like Le Coq D'or Tavern, The Rock Pile, and Electric Circus started to host the best artists from around the world. In fact, The counterculture rock band Steppenwolf, formed in 1967 but had earlier been based in Toronto as the blues-rock band The Sparrows. While all this was going on, Orange Amplification was right there, fueling the most influential British and Canadian artists of our time.
Today, Orange Amps are a driver of innovation in the worldwide music industry. Not to mention, their Canadian representation list would make any ‘Canuck’ proud. Artists like Rush, Arkells, The Sheepdogs, and Nick Johnston set the colour tone for future generations.
